He earned a bachelors degree in jazz studies from Wayne State University in Detroit, and at the same time honed his skills by playing a wide variety of styles with the legendary musicians of the Motor City. He’s performed around the world with artists such as: JKB, Uncle Kracker, Swirl 360, Tiffany, Chuck Berry, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Jeff Kollman, The Supremes, Tony Macalpine, The Coasters, Weathervane, The Drifters, The Marvellettes and many others. In addition to being a session player and sideman, Kevin is a composer and artist in his own right. His debut instrumental CD "Freudian Slip" was released worldwide in 1996 to rave reviews. Now working out of LA, Kevin is the bassist in his own rock band, JKB. In 2004, the band released their debut CD “Bleeding the Soul” and they have toured Europe and America extensively.
