Born in Lamezia Terme (CZ) under the sign of Gemini, Antonella studied upright bass at G. Verdi conservatory under the guidance of Ezio Pederzani, and at the Novara Conservatory with Davide Botto. She received a master's degree in Ethnomusicology from D.A.M.S. and also trained in sound design. She did clinics at the Berklee College of Boston with Dave Clark and Bruce Geertz, and studied extensively with John Patitucci, Claude Tchamitchan, G. Rosciglione, G. Tommaso, Paolo Costa, Massimo Moriconi, Attilio Zanchi and others.
