This trio joins the clarinetist Gabriele Mirabassi, considered one of the most important European exponents of his instrument, Nando Di Modugno, one of the few Italian guitarists to excel both in classical music and in jazz, and Pierluigi Balducci, one of the most active Italian jazz bassists.
In their performance, the trio engages audiences in a magical and evocative journey from Mediterranean Sea to Southern America, along a path in which they intersect jazz, folklore and echoes of the classical tradition.
The trio delves into original territory and in its ancestral melodies, and at the same time knows admirably merge these melodies with a Latin America populated by Italian immigrants and nomads, there landed in a perpetual sense of suspension.
The concerts by Mirabassi, Di Modugno and Balducci are an impressive experience, capable of transmitting emotions and pathos. The audience feels the strong connection between the Mediterranean spirit and a magical South America that the routes of Italian emigrants have made it much closer to home than you think.
After their 1st Cd, 'Amori sospesi', the trio is going to record the new work, always to be released by Italian label Dodicilune.
