The Markbass Traveler 121H was awarded the "Best Bass Cabinet" award at the recent MIPA (Musikmesse International Press Awards) ceremony, held on March 29 at the Frankfurt Musikmesse.
The 121H beat out cabinet nominations from Sadowsky and Glockenklang to win the award. Markbass was also nominated in the Best Bass Amp category (for the Little Mark II) and was the only bass amp manufacturer to be nominated in both categories.
Two years ago, Markbass received its first MIPA nomination for best cabinet.
The MIPA has become the "Grammy" of the Musical Instrument/Pro Audio industry, and its winners are selected by the editors of the top 107 music magazines in the world.
Bass Player magazine has given the F500 and New York 604 their Editor Award in their July issue, praising the amp's "lush and colorful midrange, intense and immediate punch and dynamic sensitivity, and capacity for loud volumes."
For the second year in a row, the Little Mark II has been voted Best Bass Head by the readers of Bass Player magazine. The Standard 104HF, CMD 151P Jeff Berlin, Hadrien Feraud and Bx3 (Jeff Berlin) were all also honored.
Markbass top-artist Michael League from Snarky Puppy talks of his story and career, his first encounter with Markbass etc. during his visit at our factory.
