ABOUT

Tetsuo Sakurai is a Japanese bassist born in Tokyo and was a member of the legendary Japanese fusion band “Casiopea” during 1976-1989, and ”Jimsaku” with Akira Jimbo during 1990-1998.

Currently, Tetsuo has three configurations for live performance: a solo performance, his own band and Jaco Tribute Band.
During the span of his 40 year career, Tetsuo has released 48 albums with the bands and as a solo artist, and made 4 instructional video titles as well as 7 live video titles. He joined Warwick Bass Camp 2014-16 as a professor.
