Born in San Benedetto del Tronto to Neapolitan parents, Francesco Argiuolo began studying bass at the age of eight with Maestro Walter Monini. He supplemented this early training with masterclasses from renowned bassists such as Pippo Matino and Claudio “Gallo” Golinelli, developing a strong passion for the instrument inspired by Weather Report and Jaco Pastorius.
Francesco has built a diverse professional background, including playing bass with the funk-pop group Trazom since May 2020 and performing at various festivals. In July 2022, he took on an acting role as a young bassist in the Mediaset drama “Se potessi dirti addio”, directed by Ricky Tognazzi. Since September 2024, he has played with the group Indiair, who won the television contest “Saremo a Sanremo” on the digital channel SuperJ, leading to participation in Sanremo Live Box and winning a scholarship for Sanremo Campus. Additionally, he has been a member of the jazz group Part Quartet since March 2024, performing standards from the Be-bop repertoire.
In addition to his bass career, Francesco began studying guitar with Maestro Marco Travaglia in September 2022. Since September 2025, he has been attending the jazz guitar course at the LAM Academy with Maestro Giacinto Cistola.
His talent has been recognized in several competitions, including two-time First Place at the national “Chiaro di Luna” competition for solo guitar in May 2023 and May 2024, and First Place at the national “Città di Penne” competition in June 2024. Most recently, in November 2025, he secured First Place at the European “Tour Music Fest” competition for bass solo.
